The Program - For Tech Companies
This is a ten-week program open to first-year law students, evenly split with 5 weeks at the in- house legal department of a tech company within the LiTD Collaborative, learning about one or more substantive areas of in-house practice and getting exposure to meaningful work; and 5 weeks as a summer associate with a law firm partnering with that tech company.
Due to business relationships and privilege concerns, each participating tech company selects the law firm with whom they would like to partner and should take ownership to establish that relationship and set expectations. Additionally, the Collaborative usually has a list of law firms that have enthusiastically expressed interest in participating in the program and can start these connections for any participant upon request.
